ABOUT
Hi Soul Friend, I'm Hayley Yarish
A highly sensitive human being, obsessed with the fullness of the human experience. You can usually find me with a book (or 5), digging in my garden, spending time in nature, or with my family and friends.
A little about my journey..
2015 was the year that changed everything.
I lost my Dad, my health, my ability to work a job I loved, my relationship, and ultimately - I lost myself.
Through this deeply painful yet transformational period I emerged differently.
I was forever changed by the depth of my own heartbreak.
The pain was still there, but I carried it differently. The grief was still there, but I made space for joy as well. The pain of grief began to coexist within the beauty of life.
Through my grief journey, I learnt how to tap into the wisdom, power and resilience of the human spirit - and because of this, I know its possible to find yourself on the other side of heartbreaking loss.

My experiences with loss continue to deepen who I am as a human, as a therapist and as a companion through the wilderness of grief and change. It has prompted me to search for more many times over - more meaning, more depth, and more out of this life I get to live.
I would be honoured to support you on your journey, and can't wait to connect with you - heart to heart.
PURPOSE
My Intention
I am committed to providing a holistic approach to grief therapy, incorporating both traditional and alternative techniques. My goal is to create an environment where you feel seen, held, and supported as you navigate the wilderness of your grief. I believe that grief is meant to be honoured, respected and tended to with compassion and gentle care.
PHILOSOPHY
Grief Work
- Loss is the common thread that touches and connects us all.
-
Grief is a natural reaction to loss of any kind that rocks the foundation of our lives.
-
Grief is not something we get over, get rid of or erase from our lives.
-
Grief is a full-bodied experience - impacting the mind, body and spirit.
-
You can’t think your way out of grief, grief must be felt.
-
Grief must be witnessed – being in relationship and connection is an essential element of healing
-
Grief is deeply painful, and can be deeply transformational, whether we like it or not.
-
Our task after a major loss is to find a way to first cope with the pain, navigate change, and then reconstruct our world in a meaningful way.
-
Healing and freedom emerge from healing the mind, body, spirit and emotions.

A NOTE:

Life has been my greatest teacher, it is where my experiences and knowledge have been embodied and alchemized into wisdom, AND I love to expand my knowledge so that I can continue to guide and support you in a safe, informed, and integrative way.
I deeply value the educational containers and mentors that I have learned from over the years, and I also want to acknowledge the countless hours of self-study and embodied practice I have dedicated myself to over the last 10+ years.
I am deeply passionate about learning and creating a collaborative approach to healing and wholeness. My practice is always evolving as I do.
