Is what I say confidential?
Yes, confidentiality is held to a high standard and your sessions with Hayley are strictly confidential. Your personal information will not be shared without your informed, and written permission. However, there are a few exceptions to confidentiality due to legal and ethical obligations. These exceptions include the following scenarios:
If there is reason to believe that a child has been or is at risk of being abused or neglected
If there is a serious possibility that you may harm yourself or others
If clinical records are subpoenaed by court order
Any concerns around confidentiality and the limits to confidentiality may be discussed with Hayley one-on-one.
How do I make an appointment?

How many sessions are required?
The number of sessions each individual requires varies enormously and depends on individual goals, concerns, history, and willingness to participate and engage in the therapeutic process.
Some individuals experience a sense of relief after the first session once they have had an opportunity to express themselves and openly discuss their challenges in a non-judgmental, confidential environment. Individuals with specific concerns may meet their goals within 6-12 sessions. For those who are looking to heal emotional wounds, examine complex issues, or change life-long patterns and/or beliefs, sessions may continue beyond 12 sessions.
We will discuss this during our consultation and again in our first session so we can create a tentative plan together.
How much does a counselling or coaching session cost?
60 minutes, $125 [ CND ]
90 minutes, $185 [ CND ].
The length of sessions is based on a combination of presenting concerns and client preference

What are the payment methods?
Payment is due prior to the beginning of each session and can be made by cash, paypal, or e-mail money transfer. Receipts are provided upon payment via e-mail.
Is counselling covered by insurance providers?
Generally counselling is covered by insurance providers. However, it is advised that you check with your service provider to confirm your coverage and coverage amounts.
How does online counselling / coaching work?
Very similar to in person counselling / coaching, we will meet at a scheduled appointment time face-to-face via video call through Zoom. You will receive the same care and service from me online that a client would in person. The biggest difference is that you are able to receive services from a place and setting that feels most comfortable and convenient to you.
Is in-person or online services more effective?
One is not better than the other, there is no difference in effectiveness. In-person versus online services comes down to a matter of personal preference. Some clients prefer to receive services from the comfort of their own space, while others prefer to be seen in person.
Please note that online counselling may not be suitable for all clients and concerns. We will discuss your goals for counselling together and if online counselling is not suitable at this time I can assist you with finding appropriate in-person services or crisis counselling services that suit your needs.
Do I have to pay extra for online services?
No. There is no additional fee for online services.
Since you offer services online do you see clients from all over the world?
Due to regulations of the counselling profession, I am only able to see counselling clients who are current Canadian residents.
Coaching clients are welcome from anywhere in the world.
What happens if I need to cancel a session?
Notice of 48 hours is required for any cancellations or rescheduling of sessions. I am committed to providing each of my clients with intentional space and care. When there is a cancellation without sufficient notice, it prevents another client from being seen. For this reason, if sufficient notification is not received, you will be charged for the full amount of your session.
